The Living Room Loop is a 2.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Salt Lake City, Utah that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. For most however, the Living Room is sufficient and it’s time to take a load off and look out over, literally, the entire valley. Find It. The Living Room Trail is one of SLC's most popular hike. At only 2 miles round-trip, this overlook provides one of the best views looking down to the city. There are several routes to reach The Living Room, which is home to several rock "lazy boys" and "couches". We will be hiking up to the Living Room and watching the sunset (or the city lights depending on the season). This is one of our most popular hikes and we will be leading it year-round. We will be hiking roughly 2.6 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 980'. An all-around great hike- not too easy, adventurous route, friendly fellow hikers, beautiful views, and a nice 'living room' to relax at while overlooking all of Salt Lake City.
